I got offered one of these in trade... basically a rebadged black Jubilee, with a Slash logo on it, switchable between 100 & 50 watts. Looks to be near mint, and with the cover.
Any opinions on them as far as tone, reliability, etc?
"Fuller".. more even across the frequencies? Beefier? Not sure the best way to say it - but it fills out more of the sound in a live setting (or recording, for that matter) - lower lows, thicker mids, though the ESP can cut a little better.
Not apples to apples though - the LP weighs a ton, and...
I remember hearing the opening lick for "Time to Burn" & my jaw dropped - same as the main solo.
Lots of Lynch & Timmons feel, but he does his own thing & does is SOOO cleanly.
He's a beast
A long time project came to fruition today.. a tribute to my FIL.
I sourced a KNE BC Rich body to match with a USA BC Rich neck..

Thanks to Dan Lawrence for bringing this to life.
Great 3D metallic effect in the bullet holes...
Though they aren't Amercian made - Kramer era NS-2A is in that price range I think & Charvel model series - 3B (neck through) are sleeper basses.
Otherwise you can get in many P or J Fenders for that price
Twin guitar bands for me. I was always the 2nd lead guy, never the primary lead player... loved locking in with my bassist and drummer, and giving the better lead player a platform to work off of.
Loved doing harmony & tradeoff stuff as well.
