Esteban American Legacy with the included amp. Because it is an acoustic electric guitar it can do clean, rock, and even Metallica with the amp's built-in distortion. No need for an expensive IIC++. The amp, by the way, despite it's size, is loud enough to fill a room so you can use it for gigs...
Well, so is the 12L. But yeah, they crop up more in PA's than elsewhere, though they were also sold for guitar use too. I think Larry Carlton and maybe Santana used them at some point, I forget. Here's a clip of the 12S back-to-back with 12L's and SRO's:

And Jake E Lee's speaker during his tenure with Ozzy, and Gary Moore's on Still Got the Blues, half of the speakers in Izzy Stradlin's Mesa 4x12's, etc. That said, I see how the 12L would be an acquired taste for people used to celestions. Personally I prefer the 12S over the 12L.
Mods said not to do something, she did it, bant. If you generally follow the advice of the surgeon general and avoid OTC, there's context from previous kerfuffles that you're missing.

I was using a Snark SA-1, which is labeled for 400 mA @ 9.6V. The Jamman Express XT requires 150 mA or less, so presumably that's not it, but who knows. Checking power is a good point at any rate. I've gotten rid of it already though, and picked up a Boss RC-1, which works much better for me...
Also just found a knob that looks like it might have the sort of tactile feedback necessary to tell you when you're at the sweet-spot, without a detent: https://jescarmusic.com/products/sever-pot-knob-bk-dome_i_knurled-spiral
I've been thinking about (and experimenting, to an extent) with...
Do you have any references for that you can toss my way? I haven't been able to find much in the way of a technical explanation of this beyond "my tech told me so." I would think biasing the 6550's like 6550's isn't going to cause the amp to put out more than 50W, because other things will limit...
