Telos is cool for sure, but I think he improved on that significantly with the JB45. It does all the Telos tones and much more.

I have had almost every amp Bogner has released. Atma,Helios, JB45, or XTC 3534 fit the bill. ( on the XTC I would get the latest iteration of the 50 watter even though it exceeds your wattage needs.. as does the JB but the MV is outstanding on those amps.

I think the fizz and flub is how these guys are dialing it in. especially Reza... My friend Steve, aka Tonedog, loves his and he has good ears and similar taste, so I have to think these clips are not a great example.

. That zero channel sounds cool and something different. The Blue and Red channels sound more modern than what I associate with the XTC. Not gonna form any real opinion based on these two clips. Both seem to dial in too much fizz and flub for me... but to each his own. I am sure that amp...

Just got one with new switches.. they do add a lot of extra tonal options, but the base tone even without using the new switching options is really good.

Reinhold has done many other Marshall mods other than Snorkler. Most are one-offs based on customer requests. I have had 3 Bogner modded Marshalls over and played a couple others and they were all very different. Only one was similar to the Snorkler.

I have had a few single cuts and a HB II. I think they are incredible guitars and they do not suffer as badly from the plastic, nasal tone that so many other do. Not sure what it is but, it is the PRS sound and fortunately the 594 has less, but still when a/b with e LP. The LP sounded beefier...

That was a cool shop, strategically located right across the street from GC on Sunset! Sad it closed down. I wonder if GC becoming a Mesa dealer had something to do with it? and if so... which was the cart and which was the horse?

Congrats. I bet that is killer guitar and great bang for buck. Epiphone has been putting out some good guitars lately. I have a EPI 355 1959 Custom shop inspired and it kicks ass. I like it better than my USA 335 and my PRS 594 Core HB 2

I tend to run my channels volumes very high and gain lower myself. Although so far my best luck has for leaner 800 ish tones is Ch2 Green Volume around 6 and gain cranked or almost cranked. Mids cranked, resonance low everything else moderate 11 to 1 oclock ish to taste

Thanks a lot man. I credit the Ox box for that recording. I just got that thing about the same time as JVM and it is like presto... insta-tone.. It really surprised the hell out of me.
