Bogner modded Marshall 1974 JMP

Lately I’ve been totally hooked on Bogner Amplification, so the timing couldn’t have been better when I got asked to take Amp Guru Profiles new Kemper Amps/Quad Cortex pack for a spin that captures the tone of a one-of-a-kind Reinhold Bogner modded Marshall 1974 JMP. I think I just decided I need a Bogner amp in my collection too, which is gonna be quite the challenge here in Central Europe… and my wallet’s not exactly thrilled about the idea either. That's wazzup!

So...basically the Snorkler circuit?

Soldano-like front end but plate fed tonestack to free up an extra gain stage. Pretty sure that's the recepie.

Reinhold has done many other Marshall mods other than Snorkler. Most are one-offs based on customer requests. I have had 3 Bogner modded Marshalls over and played a couple others and they were all very different. Only one was similar to the Snorkler.
