And even giving him the benefit of the doubt, the average Navy vet isn't intimately familiar with long-range/external ballistics. It just isn't something the military teaches random recruits. Ironically, it's actually more accessible as a civilian thanks to PRS, Hornady, Brian Litz...
You really don't know what you're talking about.
Standards are different depending on the specific qualifications for the military that you referenced earlier. For example, the current Marine Annual Rifle Qualification does not use targets with bullseyes. They usually entail hitting a...
That's patently false. And if you can't think of another reason or at least four others, then I urge you to STFU. You're a military vet of some kind? Shameful. Also, this thread isn't about politics or the 2A or what you deem right or wrong with regard to gun control. So go somewhere else and...
Man I've been wanting to try Fanes with the Super Hi. Just haven't pulled the trigger. Hiwatt offers their cabs with Fane F75 (not F70) or Purplebacks.
My Bogner rear-loaded 4x12. Been using the H75s for 10 years at least. But I have two other Bogner cabs, one with new UK Greenbacks and another with Heritage H30 55Hz. But I haven't had a chance to try the Super Hi with those yet.
I'd go with the smaller "traditional" cab. I had the OS/standard and didn't like it. I have a quad of H75s in a Bogner cab and it sounds fantastic. I think a regular sized cab is the way to go.
No worries dude :)
When I first started shooting, I thought, "Wowwwww hitting a dinner plate a football field away is crazy!" Then after doing it, I was like, "Wooowwww hitting a dinner plate TWO football fields aways is crazy!" And so on.
Now I'm like... "Meh, hitting a 1/4-inch dot at 300...
The general rule of thumb for long-range precision shooting is you should spend as much for the optic as you did for the gun (if not more). Guns can come and go, but optics are the real investment.
Long range shooting is fun, and kind of zen. But it's gotten a bit boring for me. I mostly do...
2-inch group (10 shots) at 1,000 yards (3,000 feet) is smaller than the current world record. Either way, I doubt he's had much experience.
My personal standard for success at 1,000 yards is 1 MOA (10 inches). Groups tend to open up considerably at distance due to tolerance stacking. So if you...
I know you're being sarcastic. But for anybody else, that's not physically possible. By anybody. 2 inches at 3,000 yards (1.7 miles) would be 0.0667 MOA, which is beyond the capability of anybody in the history of firearms. A more reasonable goal at 3,000 yards would be 1 MOA (30-36 inches). And...
Where are you getting your facts? He didn't disassemble anything. He is clearly holding the rifle under a black towel. He puts it down on the edge of the roof, hangs down, grabs it, then drops to the ground, and picks it up and runs off.
As far as Charlie Kirk being obscured. I call BS on that...
Charlie Kirk really wasn't moving either. He was sitting in a chair. And had been for quite some time. I'm betting the shooter went for a chest shot and missed high. Either way, doesn't really matter. My point is I doubt there is some grand conspiracy with some "pro" who made an operator-level...
