Yes, all my 100 watters punch bigger and harder and move more air than my 50 watters with 50 watt output transformers it's just physics due to more more laminations and windings in the 100 watt output transformer.
If you want the 100 watt punch but save on two tubes you can build a 100 watter...
I have played the EH EL34 and JJ EL34 and E34L's. I found the low end attack to be a little softer and overall more compressed compared to my 6550's which the amp is running now. I want to try some EL34's or KT77's in it just to compare to see if I like them in this amp.
I was reading around...
If you are looking specifically for Dime tones then I'd say for the price get one of those min Dime Warhead amps, they have the tone boosting with a tubescreamer or 6 band EQ you almost don't need the parametric.
I tried to like them but I ended up having my luthier refret again with 6100's, he wasn't too pleased I had to pay one more time. ;) It's just what I have been playing since I was 14 years old and I just couldn't adapt and get used to them, even though I thought the extra fret life would be...
My goodness DATS alot of birdseye! Beautiful neck there Eddy! I love my .84/.97" 12" radius, 6100 jumbos Musikraft Franky neck, plays great!:2thumbsup:
I also have a Musikraft .87"/95" 12" radius neck, Pao Ferro, 6100 jumbos on my Nuno guitar and the fret ends were perfect from Musikraft with...
I don't remember the phase 90 thing. I pretty much dropped off of there by late 2008-2010 except for a few posts so there are some people that got on there around the time I dropped off. There were only a couple guys I kinda remember that were from Cali.
Here's Al Estrada's STOCK Marshall...
Piece of Mind just didn't have the raw, in your face, dark writing as NOTB did for me. POM was more polished IMHO as I 'm sure there was more budget available and more production. I just enjoy NOTB more.
For me NOTB is like VH1 one take capturing lightning in a bottle kinda thing where...
I could have just posted the entire album as they are all almost equally as good these just seem to be my favorites:
Children of the Damned
Hallowed By Thy Name
22 Acacia Avenue
Since the PS-6 does do the stereo -10 and +10 with one pedal and the pricepoint works better for you I don't think you will be disappointed with it.:2thumbsup:
If it didn't do the stereo like the PS-5's limitations then I would say it would not be worth it.
That's not my clip, that's Kent Carlevi playing a Tonelab SE into one Boss PS5 set for -10 cent detune only the PS-5 cannot do two detunes at once. If the PS-6 can then all the better for your setup with just one pedal. It's possible the PS-5 can do this as well, I don't think it can, I just...
I do agree the Pitchfactor was a big step up in sound/effect quality but the PS-5's weren't horrible if they can be bought right. If they want a more close better quality effect then the Eventides are worth the investment if you really really want THAT tone.
As long as you don't need or want detune at .999 cents 1.000 cent levels and all the bells and whistles of the Eventide Pitchfactor pedals the Boss PS-5 or PS-6 work well enough. The PS-5 detune is in 5 cent increments only.
Keep in mind if you want true EVH Balance detune you will need two...
