Good to know.. that's how I always setup my interface and software. I like Amplitube 5 better than Tonex. I've downloaded some really great presets for A5 and have yet to get one on Tonex that sounds as good.. even after going through 100s.
I've got the Tonex software and it doesn't sound all that great but there is an input level issue that is known. Does the hardware pedal eliminate this factor?
I remember in the late 80s it seemed like a new, great, hair metal album was dropping every week. Those were the days.. wish I knew how to play back then... but no internet to teach me. It wasn't until about 2000 when I started seeing tutorials and thinking.. that doesn't look too hard.

I think you should consider the Synergy 20IR... I know you've got the PT on the way but I just got the Snyergy and it is pretty awesome. A massive amount of cool modules for a fraction of the price of the unit. And the Syn20 itself has it's own clean channel and a lot of nice features.
I have noticed that fx does change the tone a lot.. which makes a clean amp that much more interesting to me... especially since I wouldn't need a loop.
Sounds good! I built the PedalPCB Face Melter and it sounds great.. has a hot rodded SD-1 type tone on the lower gain setting. IMO, the lower gain switch is like a hot rodded Marshall tone and the higher gain setting is like a Soldano. I've only used it with Marshall amps and that second gain...
Back in the early 90s he tried to pickup my best friends sister at a local club. She didn't know who he was so he went out to the limo and and signed a headshot for her and gave her his cd. She thought he was ugly and told him no thanks and asked me the next day if I knew who he was because...
