    cheap rg550 alternative?

Nope. And get an old one, 87-89. Cannot beat those. Even better, the 565. Or if you love the 3 pickup thing, the 770DX.

    For the Eclipse today…

I used my welding mask on 12 shade and it was perfect Was pretty cool to watch. Lighting was weird all around during it. Like monochrome or something. We had a beer with the boys at work during it. Cool.

Bands that got better with age

Gotta disagree here, The Sound Of Perseverence is quite an achievement, the riffa and timings on that album are just amazing. Technical Death Metal at it's best here. Love the earlier stuff don't get me wrong, but that album does it for me.

Testament. Yes. Peterson is the thrash metal riff master. Priest's latest is quite awesome too. That's about it..

    THIS "Pantera" > THAT Pantera

I seen the latest tour and i think Phil hasn't sounded this good in years, his vocals where pretty good. But compared to Attila's cover band, forget it, that guy rules.

    THIS "Pantera" > THAT Pantera

Watched the whole thing, man, i am impressed. Just saw the other thing you mentioned about 3 weeks ago, no contest, no cigar, no nothing compared to this. As much as i liked Zakk, he has nothing like Attila as much as Dime vibe goes, fuckal. Attila nails Dime's vibe and his whammy antics.

Is Pantera’s Cemetery Gates one of the best songs in three decades

Ahhh the memories. That album kicked my but man, that is when i kicked myself learning how to really play the guitar. Dime was such an influence, a hero to me. Tone, riffs, vocals, solos, every fucking thing about that album rules. This was 1990. Nothing compared. Period.

Value question, Mesa two one hundred

Hmmm, did not know it was that rare, had this for years and not using it, i switched to amp heads 20 years ago and never really played it since. When i wnet WDW, i bought a Carvin SS amp cause I thought the Mesa was way overkill for my purpose. So i sat in the rack ever since. Getting old and...
