Does this even matter anymore? I have owned a lot of guitars from various eras and countries and it seems to be it is a completely individual instrument based thing. I have guitars from Indo that are perfect and better than some USA guitars I have owned in the past. What do y’all think?

I had both at the same time (Mark ivb long head) and preferred the vii, easier to dial in and the tone was also easier to fit in the mix. The older marks it’s always a small tweak away from the being perfect, but then that goes on forever 😂

Does shea make a 100w skeleton key? I am more partial to higher wattage heads almost always But yeah this sounds like a reza typical tone. I am interested in the amp though seems cool

The mark VII is really great. Agree with Raf that it would be better if IIC+ and IV were switchable. It is almost the ultimate, I would have loved to see iib and iic+ on channel 2 and IV and VII mode (a whole different modern version not the one in the amp) on channel 3. Tone wise its awesome...

This is one of the first things I look at. It’s also the main reason Kiesel guitars sound like shit to me, the pickup is way too far from the bridge.

You could probably find a peavey ultra plus, xxx or 3120 in that range as well. I’m with everyone else even for bedroom I would go full power, peavey 6505+ or 3120
