Maybe every company that can afford to pay for a review can afford to make a good product.

It’s a rotating cast of the same companies and the same channels. Which is not necessarily a bad thing because there’s obviously an audience somewhere for it.
 
I see it all the time :dunno: Glenn is always bashing gear, Ola bashes gear in a non offensive way, Rhett points out things he dosent like.. my question as always is do people not make their own judgements on what sounds good based on what they are hearing or do they need the reviewer to make up their mind for them?
 
I feel that Glenn is probably an outlier who would promote a 60s Norman over a Suhr due to the price difference.

Totally, Dan. They've been around long since before America was online, so hopefully!
 
Even cheap gear is pretty good now. The beloved digital gear from 20 years ago can be made today for peanuts.
Anyone with a cnc machine can put out a guitar that is solid and accurate

Good doesn't always equate to inspiring in my experience. "Yeah this will definitely work for what I'm going for" vs "Wow"
 
Phil McKnight is a pretty straight shooter, does a pretty in depth consistent (same tests each guitar) guitar review. Has pissed off many companies that will not work with him any longer because of it.
I’ve seen others for sure. Most people just point out a flaw or that it’s not for them.
 
There’s lots of gear that doesn’t appeal to me, yet almost all of it is better then the low end crap we had ‘back in my day’.

I remember when small rodents could crawl under the action of some guitars at the local shop ?
 
Here’s an example of what I consider a thorough review, and what’s good is he does the same overview for every guitar. I enjoy the types of reviews. Most others I watch the review to see the guitar more than just online pictures.

 
I am just going to say that I started a thread called worst amp ever. The amps most of us said had others that thought those amps were great. My personal worst amp i had ever played was one guy's main amp and favorite amp. So. While i have played some guitars that you could feel how cheap they were, I think amps may just all be good to someone.
