Often times we discuss which of Ozzy’s guitarists is our favorite. Every one is immensely talented and brings something unique, in their own right, to the table. That being said, what sets Randy apart from them all, for me, is the compositional nature of the music he helped to create.
This melody haunts and speaks to my soul and stays with me long after hearing it. It’s tragically beautiful in ways that are difficult to express in words. Hearing the composition on piano and in a difference context lays bare just how special Randy’s compositional and writing talents were.
