I concur... that washburn doesn't hurt either! I have a custom strat i had built off the washburn N4 specs. The neck is beautiful. Plays like a dream and just feels right. I prefer it to my Charvel.

I also have a Laney 50 AOR which is gutted and has a PTP board in it right now.

I had an AOR 100 back in the 80's and loved it...never used an overdrive with it though, it had a ton of gain on its own.

Mine loved my Tube driver, warmed up the shrill a little....took a lil edge off but fattened it up.

I had a Laney AOR 50 that I used for many years. Never used a boost up front, only in the loop for solos sometimes. That amp cleaned up with the volume control on the guitar better than any other high gain amp I have played. Still a highly underrated amp.

Laney's are definitely underated amps. I still have my GH50L and it smokes. Cleans up well also

That amp in your video has an awesome crunch ! SD-1 for tightening?

Almost all Laneys that I have played or heard have a very fluid and singing lead tone, way better than most Marshalls.

Great bang for the buck amps if you can find them.

Sounds killer bro ! Nice chops. Is that axe scalloped? Looks like it may be . Almost all of my axes are

Yip it's scalloped. I love scalloped necks ........great for shredding on.

Great tone dude!
I recorded Hydra Vein's Rather Death... album in the late 80's with an AOR50 and Boss OD.
Totally underrated amps :-)

Great stuff Michael once again!

Really digging the tone and the chops. You sir

You're right ......they are highly underrated amp.

For a '80 amp head and getting a cool modern tone from it.........just an all around great amp head. :)
+1......they definitely don't get the attention that many others do. I think they certainly deserve it!
