I've always had a hard time figuring out when Ed used the Flanger or the phase when he would do real quick licks.
For example, "On Fire" the last tune on VH1, when he does the quick low bends in the beginning and the tremolo pick part before the harmonics...Is that the Phase 90 or the flanger?

Sounds great.. my MXR phase 90 doesn't sound that good and I did both the R28 and another component snip mod (R28 alone sounds horrible!) it still has a bit too much bass in the sweep and I run it with the knob just barely cracked to make it sound passable.

What pup is in that axe and is there a boost there?

hey Michael,
you can tell him what you did to yours.
All my amps are slightly different and if you are using the spec i think you are its not even one i use in.

Your amp sounds real good. so all that matters is that you like it.
as well their are some that never want to touch a solder iron or the inside of an amp.
some that will want someone else to do it. some that will skimp and have someone else do my apparent mod. i done worrying about that. The ones that want it done by me will have me do it. as well as have someone else " hey i can do that mod for you for blah blah less" do it for them. the rest can tinker around like a lot of us have done to learn what have learned.
