Is it a "drip edge" model (aluminum trim around the grillcloth)?

Old Fenders and marshalls are cool investments IMHO. I have a beat to hell 1970 Marshall Super Lead 100 watt from the year and month I was born that I'll hold onto for a long long time. Plus it's kinda neat having gear from around the time you were born. Just more mojo.

"Fair" price is whatever they are selling for... I'd try to find several that sold and average the price out. Right now it's a buyer's market, so you'd likely make a few bucks if you held onto it for awhile.

$1250-$1500 would be retail for one with the trim in excellent condition. This one would be slightly less but not by much...I'd say $1100-$1350ish. I wouldn't take less than $1K for it, even in a private sale. The cool thing about these is they have the same circuit as the coveted black face models...same tone for less money.

Is that pic the actual amp? If so that's as clean as I've seen. The silverface is not the most popular but they do sound great. I'd say $1k-1200 is about right for a nice clean model.

Yup, that is the amp. The front bottom corners of the tolex are torn up but it is clean.

Before you write that amp off as one that you don't need and wont play, give it a whirl, you'll be pleasantly surprised. It's a Killer amp.

I can say without a doubt that smaller Fenders+fuzz=rock and roll.

I am buying it. It sounds great clean so I am sure with a stomp in front it is sweet! I talked to the owner tonight and made her an offer and explained the whole deal and she was totally cool so I guess it is mine.
