You might want to invest in some hearing protection ?

This guy gets a nice driven tone out of his Major, I think he's using a PPIMV in his.
The PPIMV saves you money on window replacements.

Is all that gain just from the amp?!? Sounds great!

You can NOT boost the front of these amps, because the 650v B+ is pushing the limits of the amp already.
I would say in that clip it's all amp and no boost pedals or EQ.
I love that clip, I can't wait to make YT clips of my Major.

so ... will it go to Dave or will it go to Mike?

Great question hunter.

Mike & Dave are both awesome.

I was seriously thinking of talking to Mike about doing this amp up.
He's within driving distance of me and I love his work.

Good luck getting the amp up to speed - looks like a MONSTER!

Love that old Major clip - I've had it as a favorite for years! Killer beefy tone.

He did say he had a PPIMV, AND some other mods and tweaks he made. So who knows what else is going on there.

Man that guy ripped thru that 200 watter. I remember his videos from long ago.
He did all his own mods.

Ok got the amp up and runnin' :2thumbsup:
Both transformers are fine. (thank you Lord) :worship:
It was just a blown power tube and cold solder joint.
Now I'm thinking of installing the PPIMV to give it some more gain.
It has one in it already but it's not hooked up.
Now it up and runnin' I can make some YTclip of her. :D

Yes, that is a great sounding Marshall alright! That must have been f'n blistering loud to get that sound...

It's a pleasure listening to you noodle around as well...
