16 year old plays Van Halen's "live without a net" solo for school talent show

Thats awesome i love that solo. He did skip the batshit crazy mean street tapping part which i was looking forward to.

High school kid in the year 2025 nails a live Ed Van Halen solo? Hell yeah!

I was 16 when Van Halen 1 was released. It does my heart good to see that Ed's body of work is admired by so many young musicians and young non musicians as well.

That was awesome...... and word for word pretty much what I was going to post. I was 17. . Within a year or 2 back then , kids were paying Eruption, Spanish Fly etc in talent shows, and we didn't have tabs or internet. Definitely does the heart good to see kids today still appreciating the classic great, innovative, talented EVH styles!

Back in 1986 I was 16 and in a band with my older brother who was well known kick ass drummer and we played Van Halen Sinner's Swing and then I played Eruption for the School Talent show I was pretty good in those days and practiced alot so I can appreciate a young kid that put's in the time to play well.

My brother did say Bite Your ASS in the song breakdown from the lyrics when he wasn't supposed to via the school censors but he was out of school already so what could they do to him........

The guy who played bass for me was another guitar player that I knew and he played the Quiet Riot solo Battle Axe by Carlos Cavazo and the Randy Rhodes live solo. He was a good player as well.
