1978 Marshall JMP 2203 100w Super Lead in rare Fawn colored tolex!

This is the best Marshall I have ever owned, and as much as I love it, I need to fund some non-musical projects, so up for sale it goes.

The 2203 Super Lead is in my opinion the ultimate Marshall amp. Essentially the 1959 but with a master volume control to get more of that signature preamp gain. It's amazing how good this thing sounds with a drive pedal in front of it. It sounds like many high gain amps made since, except better.

I have owned this amp since 2021, and it has stayed in my studio since then. Cosmetically it has the expected wear that any amp this old would have. It came to me having been recently serviced, and works perfectly.

I will miss this amp, but happy to pass it along so someone else can enjoy it.

"Amp was recently serviced and fitted with a fresh quad of Sovtek 6550 power tubes and given a clean bill of health. If you're looking for a "no excuses" example of a vintage 2203 head, look no further. There's a reason these late 70's-early 80's 2203 are so sought after - it's the tone of so many classic rock and metal records. "

Asking $2400 Local pickup in Hartford, CT. I can also ship.

Often kick beat myself up for flipping my JMP50 & 100. Simple amps. More versatile than they seem. A good one is special.

GLWS!!!!

Dude. Carol signed the board. She is hands down my fav signature on the board from this era. Ugh.

Have the impedance selector plug?

Local and killer price.
Killing me, as I am not grabbing any gear this year, until I at least purge a BUNCH of stuff.
GLWS bump

Do you have a gut shot of the whole insides?
