This crossed my mind. My Dad was a damn smart man and realized he was even smarter after he passed. I just Bought Unleashed From The East/ Priest and Im cranking in the family room. He comes in and I turned it down to normal volume. He says, what is that? I said new JP. He picks up the album cover and looks at it. That guys a faggot,I said thats Rob Halford. He say no that guys a :ROFLMAO: faggot.
 
My Dad had just got stationed in Maryland after returning from a year long unaccompanied tour in Korea I was in 4th grade and KISS's "I Was Made For Loving You" had just hit the airwaves. I was listening to a combination of the beginnings of Rap music, Steve Miller's "The Joker" and playing a ton of football while soaking up all things Star Wars.
 
I'm trying to figure out if you two were perhaps my sons.
Dad needs a liver...whos gonna help me out.

5th grade. Thinking about big boobs, watching love boat, and the original Saturday night live. If I recall I was schooled on sapphire vs diamond needles for the record player from my brother and why his “phonograph” was better than mine.
 
I was 13 and super into Rush. Got my first bass,a shitty Memphis P bass.
Had to play it thru a home stereo tuner and home speakers my dad rigged up for me.
Got into Motorhead soon after,then Judas Priest and Maiden in 1980.
Found out Rob was gay when Casey Orr interviewed him for a local metal rag in 83 or so.

You and I would get along just fine. I also had bought Unleashed about this time. My dad had already split, so he never saw the album cover, but that’s the whole reason I bought it! That cover along with Kiss Alive is one of the best ever. It LOOKS exactly like the music sounds.
 
Taking Kiss Double Platinum to 4th grade. Placing a piece of paper over the album, turning a #2 pencil on it's side and marking to make the raised images from the album transfer to the paper. I don't remember why my friends and I were able to bring the albums to school that day but that memory sticks with me.
Also watched Alabama beat Penn State with goal line stand(s) to win the National Championship. I became an Alabama football fan that night.
