so 2 screws make it a Jose/ Not. This asshole just trying cash in

So possibly a stock JCM800 that EVH might have given to Jose who in turn forgot about it on a shelf. Maybe I am missing something but $200K?

i think this same amp was listed for $100k before last week?

Per the ad description:
On Novemer 13, 1985, Eddie Van Halen and Jim Marshall (and others including Les Paul) were inducted to the Hollywood Rock of Fame. This has been documented in the A History of Marshall Book. On this day after the ceremony Jim Marshall gave Eddie this amp.

Skipping to 1998, While brokering instruments, A friend told me that Maria Arredondo (daughter of famed amp guru Jose Arredondo R.I.P.) was going to clean out her fathers stuff at the house due to his passing. Low and behold this was one of the pieces that was found.

No gut shots. lame! would be awesome if this guy could cash in on 16$ worth of parts in a then 6-800$ amp though. What an investment!

Its been listed forever.
This. He couldn’t sell it for $100k now suddenly it’s worth double

It not even an EVH amp from the description. If he gets close to that I’ll chalk it up to 2020 day after day being the twilight zone

Seller also has a $75k Jeff Beck Strat on his Reverb site.

You guys are all blind... The seller clearly said that he fired it up TWICE and it was LOOOOUUUUDDD!
It's worth at least the 200k... :)

So... that amp used to belong to Eddie, and when Jose died, the amp was at his shop? Was is there to get modded or was it a gift to Jose?
If it was left there for Jose to service it, than it should be returned to Eddie's family.

He's got gut shots up now. Looked at my 83 2203 and SURPRISE! Looks totally stock like mine. Jose, if he ever had it, didn't touch a thing in there. Plus, no ARRCO sticker on the back or anywhere else.
It looks real enough with the little labels on the front, but it's a totally stock horizontal input 2203. Some EVH collector will pay for it but if they pay even a fraction of the asking price they are complete fools.

I can just imagine what Eddie thought of that amp when JM gave it to him. Eddie's thing was for non-MV Marshalls and prob had a boatload of them. And it was a horizontal input (cheaper) version. It wouldn't surprise me if he gave it to Jose.

I told him I would give him the $200 for it.
Oh wait. I thought that was HUNDRED....

He might wanna marry it and run off on a honeymoon together.

Haha, looked at the gut shots. It's a bone stock 80's JCM800 whoop-de-doo

But that plaque on the front has to be worth a ton

I'm putting my foot down on this one......unless of course the replacement tubes that come with the amp are nestled in a pair of Valerie Bertinelli's pink panties from back in the day and one of Dave' weaves. Then, and only then, will I click "Buy"......
