im looking for a 1x12 cab (as im too lazy to move heads & cab/unplug/share my other cabs) to pair with my Blackstar HT-20 and also to use for when recording clips (ie isolating the cab in another room)

anyone have any experience with any of these cabs or have other recommendations

Blackstar 1x12 (celestion Seventy 80)
Epiphone Jr 1x12 (Eminence Lady Luck)
Marshall 1x12 (celestion G12T-66 Marquee)
Jet City 1x12 (Eminence?)
Orange 1x12 (V30)
Mesa 1x12 (?)
Framus 1x12 (G12T hot 100?)
build my own cab/modify my bedroom wardrobe so the missus doesnt notice)

im sure there are others, but keep in mind in located at the arse end of australia so pretty restricted
id prefer the framus as i have the 2x12 with mismatched V30/Greenback and the high wattage would be usable for all the amps

thoughts/suggestions?

The bestest, coolest 1x12 cab I`ve tried (owned) is the Mesa Thiele with an EVM12L.

Hell, I even ran it live with a JCM 800 2203 without it flinching a bit :)

I recently got a Suhr CAA 1x12 with a V30 speaker and I am extremely pleased with it. Same design as the Bogner Cube, but a little cheaper here in Europe. The interior is padded and has two front ports. It sounds very clear, punchy and with decent bass. It can keep up with no problem with the whole band, and is small and light. I love it

I have used my Marsha , Uberschall, Splawn, and various other amps through my mesa thiele with the 200w evm and it handles everything well.. Great 1x12 cab if you ask me

I had a Cornford 1x12 with a V30 which sounded great. However, I would buy a Bogner Cube or CAA1x12 were I to buy again.

cornford/bogner/CAA arent easily available/virtually non existant where im located.
mesa stuff is stupidly expensive here and id be lucky if a second hand 1x12 thiele cab came up.

also...i agree RE the seventy80. no wonder the blackstar cab is dirt cheap

ive narrowed it down to 3 in order of most expensive.

Framus 1x12 ($550AUD)
has 100W speaker so can run most amps through it. ive had another cab with that speaker before and like its headroom...which imo may be desireable for my pedal clip demos. havent got any other cabs with this speaker at present.
plus im a framus whore...thing is i cant play it before buying it and have to order it interstate.

Orange 1x12 - (around $500AUD)
readily available. has a V30 speaker which i already have in another cab. slightly cheaper than framus new and i can get it locally

Vox Night Train 1x12 ($239AUD)
Greenback...my speaker of choice, which i also have in another cab. more than half the price of the framus and can get it locally.

decisions decisions.

keep in mind that the cab i pick wont be for my "main setup" just something to do amature recordings when i want to isolate the speaker/mic in another room.
not looking for it to be able to handle high volume...jsut enough to get a good recording signal.

i think the vox night train is looking like a pretty good deal...

Egnater 1x12!

Has a modified CL80, sounds HUGE! fills the room, no joke. I had it at the FL ampfest and it held up against big 4x12s! awesome price as well

will look into hte egnator.they are readily available locally but
they are rrp $700 AUD over here...so i think that rules it out for what i want to spend for this purpose.

i may have found a second hand framus 1x12 at a good price...just waiting on the seller to get back to me re shipping price.

just worked out...that in order for this 1x12 to be able to work with all of my amps and/or be able to integrate with my other cabs...i will need the 1x12 cab/speaker to be 8ohms mono

bugger...that rules out the orange and vox (both 16ohms mono)
