Ever study "lend / lease"? It's what the US was doing for Europe before being forced into the war. Dozens of US ships torpedoed by nazi subs while trying to get war supplies to countries that needed them. No appreciation whatsoever, eh? You're one short-sighted SOB.

Because we love guns here and value personal freedoms above safety. There are 40,000 auto accident related deaths every year but you never hear anyone crying for increased driver scrutiny and more rigid licensing. People kill people driving drunk and do hard time but texting and driving is a minor infraction. Installing heavy handed or dictatorial control is very difficult in nations where everyone has the means to kill you from hundreds of yards away and Americans realize there are many globalist minded elites looking to take total control, given the chance.
