200-Yard Shot

In before The Blazing Anus. @Floyd Eye ❤ the woodcock!
Well as a matter of fact I do. They are a lot more challenging and fun. They fly low and fast and change direction sporadically. The thing about Woodcock is they don't fly far. Before they're ever jumped they already know precisely where they will fly to in the event they get scared. And it's almost always within seeing distance. So if/when you miss, you can just take your time and stroll up with the dog and be assured you'll get another shot. They also have a small "Home range" and once you push them out of it they start flying stupid because they don't know where to go.

Man it's been decades since we had upland birds in huntable numbers around here. My last Pointer died about 26 years ago. I sure miss it, hunting over a good dog. The old man was a crack shot and rarely missed. I didn't fare so well, but in my defense what I didn't know at the time was that I was cross eye dominant. The old man is too. He didn't know it either, he just knew he shot rifles and shotguns better from the left side. I have long since mitigated that issue. Long guns with an optic I shoot right handed, with irons I shoot left handed. I shoot pistols with both eyes open and the gun in front of my left eye. The old man is ambidextrous. I am partially ambidextrous. I box and bat or kick lefty, but most everything else I am more comfortable right handed.

Anyway, yeah, Floyd Eye loves the woodcock. lol

Or post your cannons on guitar forums LOL.
Yeah i earned my stripes while you were in diapers.
I served when the general public didn't give a shit and before "marketing" dead & injured Vets was chic.
Every Fucking thing is politics now, every corner of our lives.
I can see things have really changed. What did i disrupt your "fantasy sniper" concept in your head ?
Go Fuck yerself dickhead. Someone had to save the planet while you were shitting your Gerbers in your pants.
You don't have what it takes. Whats it say on your DD-214 ? Oh you don't have one.
What you want a pat on the back cuz you hit a paper target that doesn't shoot back ?
500 to 1000yds is basic rifleman qualifications. How could you possibly miss 200 with your setup.
You ain't right Bro.
You really don't know what you're talking about.

Standards are different depending on the specific qualifications for the military that you referenced earlier. For example, the current Marine Annual Rifle Qualification does not use targets with bullseyes. They usually entail hitting a human-shaped target and score based on lethality. Head is 5 inches. Body is 10 inches. And they shoot various courses of fire at various distances out to 500 yards.

The bullseye in the targets I posted are 0.25 inches (much smaller than the 5-10 inch zones the Marine ARQ uses). And I shot them at 200 yards using rapid fire from a 700-pattern bolt gun while prone. Additionally, none of my "misses" were misses if you think a 10-inch target is the measure of success. That entire target paper I'm using, let alone each individual bullseye, is SMALLER than the Marine ARQ target lol. You don't know what you're talking about.

There are tons of different courses of fire and standards depending on the specific service branch and qualification you think you're talking about. So I can't really say either way. But it's clear you don't know what you're talking about.

Nobody shoots at you during military qual. either. It's blatantly obvious you lack experience. I don't care about a uniform you haven't worn in many decades. You are ignorant when it comes to long-range ballistics.

I'm pretty tired of your BS on this forum, in literally every thread. You have an amazing lack of self-awareness. Notice how you popped into this thread to make it about YOU. You came in here looking to argue and fight. You are literally the only one in here actively trying to turn this thread (and every other thread you post in) into an argument centered around yourself.

Ignore list time.

No worries dude :)

When I first started shooting, I thought, "Wowwwww hitting a dinner plate a football field away is crazy!" Then after doing it, I was like, "Wooowwww hitting a dinner plate TWO football fields aways is crazy!" And so on.

Now I'm like... "Meh, hitting a 1/4-inch dot at 300 yards is boring" and "Hitting a 1-minute target on the first round at 1,000 is easy". It's all relative.
I just realized that you're also the guy who does Marshall mods..

Nah, he ain’t trying to argue. Never once has he came back with a coherent response to any one of the MANY people who have called him out on the retarded shit he says. He claimed to remember JFK being shot. He’s always going back and forth suggesting different branches of the military he allegedly served in and has never to my knowledge answered when asked directly. He whines about his tax money paying for Trump playing golf and in the next sentence claims to be broke and living paycheck to paycheck. I even offered to give him the contact information of a guy I know with a 100% success rate at getting the maximum disability rates for veterans. He declined with some gibberish about God providing what he needs. Then goes on to rail against a state he doesn’t live in for making a law requiring age verification to purchase on line pornography.

My guess is he did 4 years in the navy sometime in the 80s. Never saw combat and didn’t re-up after his 4 years were up. Not that I think there’s anything wrong with that. I thank him for his service, but as a guy who is surrounded daily by former and current military guys from 3 of the 4 branches and am at least moderately knowledgeable about current military policies and operations it seems pretty obvious to me he has no business speaking about anything outside of whatever the navy was doing in the early 80s. Maybe on a ship cruising back and forth inside Ghadaffi’s “Line of death” and smoking dope in the missile tubes. 💁‍♂️

100%

And even giving him the benefit of the doubt, the average Navy vet isn't intimately familiar with long-range/external ballistics. It just isn't something the military teaches random recruits. Ironically, it's actually more accessible as a civilian thanks to PRS, Hornady, Brian Litz, Applied Ballistics, et. al.

Based on the photo he shared earlier, if it's real, it looks like maybe he was E3 Ordnanceman (AO). I don't think that entails any real experience with external ballistics. And judging by his demeanor and interactions with people on this forum, I wouldn't trust him with in-flight meals, let alone aircraft armament systems or airborne weapons.

Extremely obese people tend to do this. :ROFLMAO:
