I fully expect the Chargers to beat Denver next week to take the lead in that division and never look back.

I just love it when the Pats lose.

You know that feeling? That's the same feeling 99% of baseball fans feel about the Yankees.

So the Yanks only have 1% of the entire baseball fanbase cheering for them?  They have more fans than any other team. Did you notice Dwight Freeney wearing a Yankee hat last night? And i wonder if Tom Brady wears his Yankee hat in the locker room?

The Yankees are the most hated sports team in America. You have to realize that, despite the fact that you live in NY where I can imagine it's constant praising and bragging about how incredible they are 24/7/365.

Yeah, as much as it pains me I gotta agree with you there...they were doing fine against the Redskins until Orton got injured...Chris Simms is awful :aww: When you lose to Washington, you have issues. Who'd have thought Kyle Orton would be an integral part of an offense, although not being anything to write home about (see the PIT game)...

I like LT, but I hate Philip Rivers and think Norv Turner is a douchebag, so f**k the chargers

PS Enough with the Yankee talk, keep that sh*tty sport out of this great sport's thread ;)

They're the most hated and the most loved. There is always a HUGE showing of Yankee fans...no matter where they play. It's like saying that the Cowboys and Steelers are only popular in Dallas or Pitt.

Just watch an A's home game vs. the Yankees on TV. There is like a 50/50 split of Yankees and A's fans

  You're a little off. The Yanks can win 120 games, Arod makes and error in a game and everyone wants to kill him. And you forget this is a 2 team City, there's constant bickering back and fourth with the Met fans, it's hardly the constant praising you make it out to be.

There's no better place for a baseball fan though because it's talked about 24/7, 365 days a year. Well really, from Boston down to Philly this Northeast area is crazy about baseball more than you see elsewhere.

And i know the Yanks are the most hated, but also the most loved. They're like the Cowboys, but our most popular players don't choke like Romo.

Philip may be hated, but he's a ballsy QB and is getting the job done with a pretty high ranking this year. They actually had a decent run game yesterday, but the o line and d line are still weak IMO.

I like Philip Rivers a lot. I think he's a great QB. The Giants would have been way better off with him instead of Eli. And yes danyeo, I know Eli has a ring, but Rivers would have done far better in NY with that great defense. His career passer rating is almost 20 points higher, his completion percentage is much higher and he's just a better QB. I still think it's pathetic that Eli whined and cried his way out of playing for San Diego. What a douchebag. You'd never see Peyton pull that kind of crybaby bullshit.

Not now you wouldn't. But when Peyton was a senior at Tennessee he pissed and moaned when Charles Woodson won the Heisman Trophy. Peyton constantly blew big games and got worked by Florida, but he thought the Heisman was his. Woodson played both sides of the ball and returned kicks/punts. Plus his team won the National Championship. Peyton has grown up a lot since then though obviously. And that probably isn't as big of a bitch move as the one Eli pulled.

And Phillip Rivers would have a ring if they hadn't hired Norv Turner. The guy is not a head coach.

Great game last night. I was a little surprised to see the pats go for it on 4th and 2, but then I remembered what Rodney Harrison said in pre-game that, Belichick didn't respect the colts defense. I think it was more of a case of that (after shredding the defense all day) than not trusting his office.

Glad the colts won. Its so nice that Ty Law is no longer with the Pats, he had Manning's number. I am hoping the Colts don't meet the Broncos in the playoffs, could be ugly with Ty Law back with the Broncos....

Again, judging everything you see on stats i see. The only reason the Chargers beat the Giants 2 weeks ago is that the Giants secondary can't cover anyone. They lost a huge player when their saftey went down.

Eli would have much better stats if he played in West Coast weather. When December comes and the winds in the Meadowlands start blowing, Eli can't throw. He had a great game against the Packers in the Championship game in sub zero temps, but there was no wind in that game.

And i like Rivers as a player even though he's just about the biggest douchebag in the sport.

Stats don't lie. And I'm not judging everything on stats. Rivers is a better QB than Eli. Eli is just one of those slightly above average QB's that got put into a great situation with an amazing defense and team around him.

How could that be true with Ben Rapistberger, Chad Johnson and JaMarcus Russell?

Stats of River/Eli 2 weeks ago. And consider the Giants secondary was in shambles. Rivers stats wouldn't be as good if he played in NFC East. He gets to play the pathetic Raiders and Chiefs, that's 4 gimme's right there.

P. Rivers 24 36 209 66.7 3 2 86.5
Comp Att Yds Pct TD Int Rating
Manning 25 33 215 75.8 2 0 112.6

Compare their career stats, not one game. I'll take the guy with the 94 career rating over the anemic 77. And that one game Rivers won with an epic game winning drive and TD pass.

Regardless of stats, Bottom line is Rivers is showing he's a strong/confident leader playing with a shitty offensive line , can't scramble to save his life, but steps in and gets it done and is helping the team win. An yes that one drive he made in the fourth quarter a couple games back, pretty much shows he's a top rate QB. I also believe he can throw when he's in the East coast, he's proven that already. I'm actually stoked that they whipped giants and eagles back to back..but the defense still concerns me. Im not an Eli basher, not a fan either, but i did love the last play of the game with NY, when Merimman sacked Eli to close out the win.

I'll take the guy that's win me the Superbowl beating the team that most thought was the best team ever.

Donovan McNabb probably has better career stats than Eli. I bet every Eagle fan would flush McNabb from their memory to have that one Superbowl win. Like i before that Superbowl, I could give 2 craps if the Giants have 5 shitty seasons in a row as long as they beat the Pats in Superbowl and denied them their Immortal season.

Nobody actually thought that except Pats fans.
