I've spoke with Dave Friedman, Rob @ Tone Merchants, Reinhold Bogner, Jerry @ Luxxtone and everyone is on board. We really want to get some amps that we didn't have the first time with some of the favorites from last year. Looking for: Fortin, Cameron, Splawn, Voodoo, Jose etc.. Both their brand of amps and mods. Everyone is welcome to attend. I'm gonna do ALL amps, so we will start with more low wattage / mid gain amps ala Vox, Fender, non-master volume Marshalls etc and the second half of the event will be all high gain amps.

My tracking room is 700 sq ft so everyone can be in the room with the amps as we demo them or in the control room listening to playback at a more moderate volume. Everything will be recorded and filmed in HD. We'll be using a Bogner Twin Jet Uberkab (front loaded straight 4X12 - V30, G75 X pattern).

We will be going through all the modes and channels of each amp and playing to what suits the amp, meaning if it's a AC15 we'll be playing Tom Petty, Beatles, Bluesly/Americana riffs and if it's high gain we'll be playing Metallica, VH, AIC, Slipknot etc... We will be using Beyerdynamic, Heil and Shure mics, Gibson and Fender guitars and Neve, API and Pacifica mic pres. I may even track some to 2" so you guys can hear 2" goodness!!!

Awesome! Can't wait for the videos. Someone get a CCV and a Baron to James!

Please do that original Jose from last year, there was something sweet about that thing. Looking forward to the vids with some unchained cranking through that. And maybe we can end the drama on the Chupa abracadabra whatever the hell Ceritone with some good quality clips.

Awesome! Any way someone can get some Fortin amps over there?

No way I can get to LA but I'm really stoked to hear your studio cut on the dirty shirley, ac15 hw, and the goldfinger, thanks for doing this james!

Awesome Dave. Thanks so much for being a part of this. I had the Studer serviced this week so she will be tip top to run some guitars through. Man guitars on 2" are just amazing, a lost art but when you hear a cranked Marshall hittin' tape it is just euphoric.

wow, never thought i would ever see anyone applying a browdich's phasing chart in todays world. thats awsome! 45* out of phase whatever he is setting.

ive also never seen someone use such a soldering tool for IC component removal - that is so cool. it looks as though it has an auto-solder compressed purge built in? thats really cool.

ive got alot of time logged on an oscilloscope but never thought some of the things i learned could be applied in todays world.

awsome video. i love old analog circuits - seeing this was awsome for an electronics geek
