Hey Guys,

As you know Papa released the new Diezel Hagen at Music Messe this week and it is creating quite the buzz.

Diezel Hagen

Features:
100 Watts, Custom Transformers
Midi-switchable via any midi pedal, Diezel Columbus or proprietary Hagen-Footswitch
4 Channels
2 Mastervolumes
Loops: Switchable serial loop, permanent serial and parallel loop
Tuner Out, Compensated (recording) Out (needs load)

Description from Olaf:

"The clean channel is less Hifi and goes up to (very) mild distorted sounds. It is (for a Diezel) a new design.
2nd channel covers (as in the current VH4) a wide range.
Ch3 and Ch4 are even fatter than in the VH4, with more lower mids.
Compared to Herbert it has less of Herbert's "super bottom end". Less compressed than the VH4.

A modern, fat, hard rocker.

Why three loops?
Well the switchable serial is cool as an "expansion interface" (say you want to add your XY Preamp to your rig, switchable, without loopers and that). And additionally you have the choice of either a permanent serial or parallel loop. One prefers this, the other that. A pretty cool concept if you ask me . . ."

I am putting together another DIezel order for the boys in Germany and want to make it a big order.

Usually Diezel amps sell for full MSRP but for the rest of JULY I will sell them at nice discount for Rig-Talk members.

On August 1, the prices will go back to MSRP.

note: For all of my clients Papa Diezel has agreed to sign the amps personally to the new owner if requested.

1. Diezel Hagen - The newest super amp from Germany, Your choice of White or Black Tolex & Knobs. 4 channels, more open sounding, plenty of info here on the forum.

List $4500 SALE: $3998. SAVE $500!

Any takers send me a PM!

Is this Diezel it's own thing entirely? Or does it have combined sounds from other Diezel heads?

Regardless, put me on the pre-order "interested" list please :)

Also very interested, put me on your interested pre order list as well

The Diezel boys are at the Frankfurt Music Fair this week, will get more info next week.

Mark me down as interested. Waiting to hear a better description of the channels, features and price tag.

I'm interested as well. I just need to hear some clips of the amp and the price tag.

Will the discount be similar to the "April extended discount"?

I have to decide between the Hagen and the Schmidt.

Same discount.

Papa tells me 8-10 weeks from order date, waiting to hear back on pricing. Already have a few reserved for the first units. $1000 refundable deposit to Pay Pal now gets your spot in line for the new Hagen.

When I get pricing (which I will be discounting from list) I will post it and you can go forward with Hagen, Get something else or get a full refund. No risk, early spot in line.

Now that is service boys. Diezel couldn't ask for a better person to represent their products!!!

Ok, just got off the phone with Peter Stapfer from Germany. The Hagen is going over very well at the show.

He tells me the following:

Hagen is very open sounding on the heavy channel, kind of Peters take on the Hot Rod Marshall tone. More like a SLO that a traditional modern amp but still gets wicked heavy sounding. The clean channel is getting rave reviews and sounds very sparkly.

As most Diezels are very modern sounding this is more open sounding and less compressed.

As far as pricing they don't have it nailed down yet but they are going to be raising the price of the VH4 in the line as their production costs and time to build it have increased and they need to account for it.

The Hagen should come in just under $4K ($3990) sale price with a list of around $4499.

That is not set in stone but an educated idea. Clips up this weekend.

Update at the top of the thread with pricing and video of the Hagen from MusikMesse 2011

More Video as its leaked this weekend!

Thanks Andy Wood and Nathan Batten for the Pre Orders.

Very nice, i think this could be something special and at some point i will try one.
I just got a herbert a month ago and i love it and and the hagen might be even better.

Can someone please translate and summarize the conversation during the last few minutes of the video? I'd like to know how they are describing the amp.
