Is Steve K the only one who has received a 2014 CCV? What is the availability and cost? Is it pay total up-front, partial deposit, or total cost upon completion? In light of all that's been said, I'm hoping Steve is willing to post some clips of his stealthy looking new amp!

To Steve K,
- What do you think of the amp so far?
- Does it sound different from the earlier models?
- Is it good for classic and southern rock tones, or is it primarily a metal amplifier?
- What do you think of the effects loop?
- Does the clean channel get a nice crunch tone?
- Does the preamp gain clean the channel up as you back-off?
- What amp would you compare it to - if any?

Two things:

1 - Steve was banned on account of the other thread. Why? Your guess is as good as mine. I didn't see him post anything particularly inappropriate in that thread other than his retort to two direct attacks. Anyways, don't expect a response to your questions from him.

2 - The 2014 CCV is not widely available nor will it be. I know you and I have traded some nastiness in the past. I am not trying to be an ass here, but suffice it to say that you will not be one of the select few folks getting one of the new CCVs.

There's really nothing left to say.

How do you know, his status doesn't show that?

I think the best advice is that if you want a CCV buy a used one from someone on the forum. This thread is doomed like all other Cameron threads and should probably be terminated now. No need for anymore drama. Let's try and respect eachother if at all possible.

Wow! I was all for Brad and his handling of that situation but I don't get why Steve was banned when he was one of the people getting attacked.

1 - I know Steve.

2 - On RT someone is never shown as being banned. Look at Charveldan's old posts as an example.

The way all this has been handled is 100% lame. Some things got out of hand but it could have been resolved outside of the thread. A few of those banned (from my perspective) have made "positive" contributions to the forum over time unlike what was referenced/implied in SteveK's 2014 Cameron thread. Makes me laugh how sensitive some people get over gear and opinions around here. The personal stuff could have been handled in private.

It's a shame as Rig-Talk has historically been a great forum. I probably shouldn't have posted this as I am sure most won't care about my opinion but it made me angry how the powers that be handled this. I try to stay unbiased in forum shenanigans but felt compelled to say something.

 I didn't read anything that would warrant Steve being banned... That's messed up!

As I understand it, the company is Cameron Amplification LLC. Are you saying that Mark (and whoever is backing him) intends on building amplifiers for only a select few? If this is the case, that's one hell of a business model!

Cameron Amplification LLC was the Brad/Rob/Dave/Mark iteration from a couple of years ago.

Currently, Mark has only a few PCB's. He has built a couple of amps, Steve's being one. Steve provided much of the background on how he came by his in the thread from yesterday. Mark has no one backing him at this point and, given he insists on building all of the amps himself, he is unlikely to find someone to back him. Without capital behind him, there will likely be no additional "2014 CCV's" other than the handful he currently has PCBs to build with (and even then he needs some cash to purchase the rest of the components in order to complete them).

Well apparently Mark's latest business partner has jumped ship already so outside of the six that they got parts for and started building,I don't see any more being made.

^ bingo.

Time to move on and focus on amps that are actually being produced. This is a dead story.........again.

Any idea who the other four are going to?

Any intel as to whether Mark would be willing to sell the brand and circuit designs? I could have production up an running in (estimate) 2-3 months.

EXPCustom should know more about this since hes buddies with Mark and does all the videos with him. Unless hes the guy that backed out that you're referring to.

  I'm sure Brad, Rob and Dave would be happy to sell you all of the redisign work George M was working on to make the amp's serviceable and easier to build. Shoot them PM's. :hys: Oh and don't forget you would need to pay them for every amp built since they already own the brand and design. At least if it was you they do. Mark not so much.

Surely to the people that paid him a long time ago and never got theirs......but, then again.....probably not.
