Pretty cool new BE-100 video. Guy gets some great 80's rock tones.

We did their stuff back in the day.

The BE is perfectly suited for his style.

Too much shrill on that clip

I would typically agree as I don't use nearly as much treble as he does. But somehow it works and I dig it.

You can see he has the mids and treble on 10.

-horrible, horrible recording of a great amp and a dam good guitarist-

People might want to listen on good speakers. We compared to his early records and even did a spectrum analysis of it and that's it. Not brighter, the same exactly.

That is one of the best BE100 clips I have ever heard. I don't know how you would improve upon that tone for the stuff he is playing.

Yes it's bright but has this snarl and balls to it. Very raw sounding. Now add that to a band and add bass and doubling, it would be huge. His original sound is captured fully. Sort of a cross between those 2 big records.

Sounds tits!

So Dave, is Akira officially a Friedman endorsee now?

Very Def Leppard.

I always use headphones, and IMO this is a better recording of previous samples.

I think it sounds great. You're hearing his TONE not a darker version for the demo. Nice thing is that you can always turn down the mids and treble

"Roudness" BAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! Did he say "free the mumps"?

Yeah I would say he tone he has dialed in was pretty well what Loudness sounds like. Reading he translation that also seems to be how HE likes the amp. Killer top and and lots of cut.

Isolated early EVH tones sound just as bright and 'shrill'. That's what cuts through and sounds best in a band mix
