Hmm nothing really I like there at all

I was hoping for more AZ but in flame quilt solid colors maybe some different fret boards

IMO the best guitar they have done in a while is the Nita Strauss Jiva it’s damn cool looking

What's "Nyatoh". I see they're using Nyatoh for the body of many guitars. Is it Nato? Asian Mahogany?

Not really sure, but nearly all guitars claiming to be made from mahogany are really made from “mahogany” if you know what I mean. I suspect Ibanez is just being more transparent now.

i like that they're using fixed bridges more. i'm too stupid and impatient to own a guitar with double locking trem system... trust me, i've tried.

the RGEW521MZW and RGR5227MFX are both really cool looking.

I loved that 2014 prestige 7 string i just sold, even tho ibanez guitars can be a bit "cookie cutter".
hard to vibe with them for me, they all play nice with a proper set up, but tone wise, i always found them to be so "generic" sounding, if that makes any sense.

edit:

oohh... well shut me up... that green one comes stock with stainless steel frets and bare kuckles pickups! Low key GAS attack...

I'm an RG guy, but I'm not liking much. Way too much binding and "Desert Yellow" for my taste.

eye of the beholder I suppose..I see lots to like. Many roasted necks and boards, plenty of fixed bridge selections, some cool colors and finishes, cool stuff.

They really missed the mark by going with rosewood and not directly reissuing this:
latest

I don't think I'd ever buy it but the Nita Strauss guitar is badass IMO, especially the EKG fret markers. I don't know what it is about her signature model that speaks to me but just really different.

I find it absolutely ridiculous that the Luke hoskin sig is 1600 bucks and Indo made.

I think these companies are missing the point of third world labor for cost reduction.

+1 thats unacceptable. even those 7-800 dollar guitars should be MIJ IMO. but i'm not a business man...

Even the basic MIJ stuff is $1200 or so, I think.

It seems like what really sells midrange guitars is the spec sheet (fancy woods, colors, hardware) rather than actual fit and finish quality.

That’s MSRP which is relatively meaningless, isn’t it? I don’t know the percent mark down for Ibanez guitars. It’s not the street price.

Luke Hoskins model ..maybe
