Man. I just bought this guitar. Sounds amazing. I usually play V's cuz you are totally unimpeded by the guitar (horns) and because they are more metal than metal. But this thing is pretty cool for some dad rock.

I almost bought one of those a few months ago. I really like that particular color. I think it is the best looking of the Studios!

Yeah. The color got me as well. I got lucky though, Thing resonates so well, even acoustically. Much better sounding than the early 90's studio I used to play.

Oh crap.....dude, you shouldn't have said that to me. I loved my 1993 Les Paul Studio and thought it played and sounded so great. If it sounds better than that, might have to pick one up someday. LOL!

I'm 100% with you on V's but I also love a good single cut for some varie-tah. That burst is excellent! Glad to hear you got a keeper. This thread got me looking at early-mid 90's Studios with ebony boards. LPC style on the cheap.

Enjoy the new git!

Yeah. Thing sounds great. Also stays in tune like an evertune. Now, it has this nonsense pcb in the control cavity. At the first sign of trouble, I am going to rip that out and wire this thing up the real way. But I imagine for people that don't solder, it's a nice touch to change pickups. Now as to looking at studios. You know, buying a new studio is kinda one of those things that you better keep the damned thing. cuz you can get a used studio for like 600 trumps. And I almost did buy a used one. There are some great deals on reverb if you are trying to score one.

Also, Erik. Let me see that V you got. I have a cheap christian andrew x series, a minion i just bought for my son (played it through my rig today. It fucking slays for a 140 dollar guitar), and a kxk that is a goddamned dream of a guitar.
