I hope it doesn’t get boring. Eli could make it interesting but he needs a little more. Maybe he can get there in the next few rounds where the tracks are very different but we’ll see.
I know he’s got a little more in the tank I’m just not sure if he’s willing to go flat out to get the results against Jett.
But he’s gonna have to ride like he did a few years ago and get into Jett’s head to win this title.
Prado had some killer lines in the back section, I’m sure he wants to step it up too.
Sexton is so hot or cold, it’s crazy. I really thought he was gonna do much better but we’ll see. That was a gnarly hit he took.

Supposed to hit 102 degrees Saturday, this is gonna be brutal. I think Eli is gonna have a little more somethin this weekend!
I kinda wish Hangtown was still blue groove hardpack, I miss when the hardpack specialist’s who may not win at another track would come to Hangtown and school all the loam muffins
People like Steve Lamson who was a threat there anytime he was there
But…. It’s not hardpack anymore, so I’ll take it. More guys like the soil now and I get that.
I struggled on hardpack with setup, mostly rebound settings, but most of the tracks we raced on were intermediate or sandy so I was used to slower rebound settings . I loved how all the obstacles were easier though.
Traction was always the biggest problem. I think the guys have a advantage with the new bikes and how the can fine tune the mapping anyway they like

Thunder Valley was great for Hymas!
I had high hopes for Eli but it just didn’t pan out. Unless Lawrence hurts himself he’s gonna run away with the title.
AP had a killer but frustrating day, if he ever wins one of these things the earth will split in half!!

He’s in a tough spot, if sexton goes to Kawi,
They already have Prado and Anderson will be the odd man out and he knows it. It’s weird, Herlings rode Prado’s Factory KTM and said it was the fastest bike he’d ever ridden, and it was too much motor for the way he (Herlings) rides. He did not care for it but the way Prado rides it was perfect.
Prado leaves KTM and the perfect motor and now says the Kawi is not fast enough.. (!!!)
Now sexton will do the same thing??
Some of the decisions these guys make defy logic.
I’m not sure Ducati wants a top 5 guy to develop a race program with, if the chosen guy doesn’t do well, the internet will most certainly blame the bike and it will hurt them.
But if he did better than he had before it would be a great thing for them…
I guess it’s hard for us normal pee ons to wrap our heads around the thought process of the great ones

The guy that owns Paradise MX park up in SC qualified #52. He goes to a couple of nationals a year. Kind of wild that he smokes almost anybody that shows up at his place, but made the 52nd best time with the big boys.

I used to pass all kinds of guys and then get literally SMOKED by the A class kids. Then Josh Woods would literally lap me 3x in a short practice session.
The top 100 are fucking superhero's, the top 40 are beyond that, and the top 5 are nothing less than supernatural.

I could do decent on a really good day at a local B race on a local track, but at a bigger race where bonified B guys who ran all the Nationals would show up I would get smoked every time on my best day by guys who could not crack the top 30 at a National
It was humbling but if I had a good day I didn’t care.
One day at West Fla MX a lifetime ago, Kevin Windham showed up in an unmarked van on a Wednesday afternoon to pound laps on his HRC Honda and the owner had prepped the track to perfection, Kevin was the first guy on the track and was going light speed in less than 4 laps, we all got out there and I could see his lines and thought “oh, I’ll go faster using Kevin’s lines”
I could not carry enough speed to even stay in them, much less use them to my advantage.
It just drove home that those guys are at a level that 98% of us will never have the slightest clue of reaching.He was a really cool guy, we watched him and Charmichael come up thru the ranks out there and we all knew when they were on 80’s that they would make it to the big leagues.
