Hi there,

I was wondering what builders make 24 fret guitars of any shape with deep cutaways and very unimpeded access to the higher frets. I am not interested in the guitar otherwise, but I did notice Dean makes a Rusty Cooley model which seems to have a fairly unimpeded reach as well as something which seems interesting from a company called Black Mesa.

Does anyone know of some others, preferably comparable to something like a Suhr in terms of build quality and options but with a deeper cutaway than the Modern?

Thanks!

Carvin's neck-thru's have great upper fret access. I love mine!

carvin has the best heals in the bizness... besides psycho dave that is...

i really like my ibanez RG. it's not even a prestige and it's still nice as hell. it WAS however made in japan and is mahogany.

Pretty much every 24 fret guitar I've played had perfectly fine upper fret access.

I make em' and the no heel at all!
and you can get a neck thru or a solid 1 piece"legend" series, most sustain possible:)

Feel like I've said this before somewhere

Those are seven strings, but the six strings have the same design / cutaway on the super strats

some nice guitars here making me gas for a neck through shredder natural finish lol

Lots of great guitars listed, but I only have experience with Carvin, and they are phenomenal. New pickups and you're rocking.

The hamer stuff is the best access I have played as the heels are scalloped and the horns are deeper.

RG stuff is good as well.

The heel is smooth but access point is not as uninhibited as other some guitars....
