Hey all,

I forgot seeings that I'm new round these parts you guyz may not have seen my 28 Cabinet Profiles for the Kemper !!

Shure SM57, Sennheiser MD421 and a Royer 121 were used to make the Profiles.
Each Cabinet has a profile of each Mic on its own and then a Blend of all 3 Mics.

We did the Following Cabs ~

Marshall 1960B 4x12" with Greenbacks
Mesa Boogie Recto 4x12" with Vintage 30s
Rivera Knucklehead 4x12" with Vintage 30's
Orange PPC412 4x12" with Vintage 30's
Randall WARHEAD 2x15" with Eminence Jaguar 15s
Randall WARHEAD 4x12" with Vintage 30s
Peavey 5150 4x12" with Sheffield 12s

Hope you guyz can get some use out of these !!

Thanks ~

Awesome! I'll have to get these this afternoon and give em a try. Your Pantera profiles were some of the first I loaded into my new Kemper last night.

thanks so much for doing this and doing such a great job showing the differences of the cabs, speakers and mics.

i have come to a few conclusions.

i listened both with headphones and with monitors. dt770 and krk 8 v1's

v30s are my favorite high gain recording speaker.

different cabs really can drastically change the sound of a type of speaker.

sm57 is the sound of rock and just sounds right to my ear, or at least familiar.

royer 121 sound like it has already been mixed for the record.

md421 sounds mean and is great for rhythm guitar.

thanks again for all the hard work and making my kemper even more awesome!

forgot to ask.

was this re amped?

mind posting the chain with the amp model being used?

No worries at all Sir,

I like - in most instances - the Blends of all 3 Mics.

The Royer seemed to give them a really nice low presence I found.

No Re-amp here.

All 28 Clips were played and recorded individually.

2 Rhythm (left + Right) and Solo down the Center

The profiles were Made with an Orange Rockerverb the Kemper the Cabs The Mics and a Mackie Onyx Desk.
I used all Magomi Cables while making the profiles too if that helps !? :D

Cheers ~

Great work! Given the many fine cabs profiled, I was surprised to find myself especially liking the R121 5150 cab profile. Something very clear/organic/airy about that particular profile which I really enjoy.

Thanks for the hard work and profiles! Really good stuff!

If you get the opportunity, I'd be interested in some Bogner cab profiles. :D

Thanks man,

I found almost across the board I prefered the R121's for more lead based stuff and the 57 for crunchy rhythms.

I wish I had of had a little more time with the cabs - I would have made profiles of cabs blended as well -

the sound of the Warhead 4x12 paired with the Warhead 2x15 is something to be heard
