2x12 Cab for the EVH 5153 mini head?

Will this cab sound good with the EVH 50 watter?(bottom attached pic)
it is Loaded with 2x12 celestion creamback 65's

I think they are like a smoother greenback?
I know that the splawn cab is top notch and would destroy the EVH 2x12 in low end thump
and probably punch too but i was a little concerned about these creambacks since most seem to use
V30's,stock EVH 12's, or something else.

Originally i was going to get the matching 2x 12 EVH cab, but it sounds like i did the right thing by going with the creamback 65's and the better built Splawn cab

I just sent back my EVH 2 X 12 for a refund. It wasn't for me. You made the correct choice. Some people love the EVH 2 X 12.

creambacks will sound awesome with the EVH. They are like greenbacks but obviously higher watts and more/tighter bottom end. I have 2 coming myself to got with my mini

Anything greenback will sound great...I'd bet the creambacks will kill with it. But man, if you can score one of those Hendrix/VM Marshall cabs, that's the ticket.....

Yes! one of those gear sell-offs I regret. It was a B cab....

Just 4 cheap Laney IRT212 enclosures with all Chinese Celestion V30.
With all four it sounds huge. With 2 a bit less. And with just one it still sounds rich and fluent.

The EVH 2x12 cab is a harsh sounding cab until broken in good. When I first got mine I hated it but after a few years now it sounds fantastic. I'll admit it was one of the hardest cabinets to break in I've ever owned but I'm glad I didn't get rid of it now.

makes me real glad i just went with the splawn with creambacks

Oh yeah it will sound good! With the head you are using you'll be dialed in with little effort. Splawn does a great job with their 2x12's, especially w/ Creambacks, I have a purple setup.
