That is a bit pricey for that model, no question. It looks great but I'd never pay that for one.

Almost all name brand guitars seem massively over-priced to me these days.....ESP especially, they are 3 to 4x what they were 10-12 years ago.

This. I seem to remember them being under $2k not too long ago. For that price there are much better options in my opinion. And this is coming from a HUGE Lynch fan.

shit, I sold a lynch tiger a while back on here for around 800 bucks!

I think it's the headstock logo. ESP has decided that "ESP" branded guitars are their halo line-up comparable to the top of the top boutique guitars. And they've priced them accordingly. Same guitar but labeled an "E-II" probably would be thousands of dollars cheaper.

Will it work? Dunno. Seems like a bad idea for the US market.

It's an ESP custom shop guitar... the artist sigs and other custom shop models have ALWAYS been expensive. The LTDs and ESP Standards were the less expensive ones.

And yes the E-II (which is the new branding for the ESP Standard line) would be cheaper, it's not built in the custom shop.

Not that I would buy one for that price either, but it's not horribly out of line with the cost of other custom shop guitars from other brands. Gibson's CS Historics are $4500+ lol

Since this year, ESP USA is $4k+, the Original Series is around $5k. I'm really curious how many they're selling at those prices...

Holy crap. Have always wanted a Lynch model ESP, but I'm now certain to never buy one. I've no desire to own a LTD, but $4K + for an ESP has me cozying up to at least a dozen other guitar companies before I'd consider one. Too bad.

Fair enough. The "S" serial number indicates this is from the Sado custom shop, which I believe is one of ESP's hand-built shops. I had thought that some ESP sigs were made in their Standard Series (now E-II) line, but even if that's true, this particular one still in made in what would be considered an ESP "custom shop."

That said, I still think ESP is pricin themselves too high in the US. To use your example, they are not the Gibson Custom Shop. Not to say that they're quality is lower, but that their "brand" simply does not have that level of following in the States. But what do I know. Maybe the S series guitars have always been this expensive or they don't care that they don't sell any because they sell so many LTD versions.

You should price one of George's handbuilt skulll and crossbones Lynch guitars, very high dollar. A friend of mine from Australia flew into LA to pick up his Lynch custom and is well pleased with it.
The Lynch Tiger is an iconic guitar for him so equals more cash..
