3 channel Amp to cover Foo Fighters: besides Mesa Boogie

I was looking for something to cover the "era's" of Foo...

Just curious if there is amp to cover the clean... British sound, and the boogie years...
Thinking Engl?

It's hard to get both the Vox sound and the Boogie sound in one amp. A modular like the Egnater MOD50 might fit the bill?

Any clean channel and a Wampler Triple Wreck pedal.

Do a YT search.

I was actually looking into this pedal....thanks

Do you have one?

Yes. And I sold my single Rec. I can run a tele thru that pedal using a Dr. Z Maz 38 and it sounds like no way in hell that face ripping sound is coming from that cherry sunburst deluxe tele.

Gotta play one. Get a non-metal rig in a store and see how far you can push it.

That's tough, maybe a dual channel Orange amp and a choice pedal for the third option.

I know it's not the most popular answer, but have you considered a Randall RM100. Three channels of whatever tones you want to load in it. The modded modules rival boutique tones.

I am really considering going with My Morgan MV45...Set to slight break up...
Use it for the cleaner tones, hit it with a Naked OD for more...then the triple wreck of the Boogie tones....Maybe pick up another wampler also slo or Plexi.?

Why not use what Dave is using now?

beat me to it

This just is more proof that similar gear will sound the same with a player that has a signature style and tone preference setting up his amp.

And as musicians change gear over albums, they still cover their old songs and the concerts still rock. And 99% of the crowd just want the song played well and sounds decent.

I was also very impressed with this amp. I thought the one I played sounded huge. Although, if you already have a clean amp, the triple wreck is very good. I had one for sale for months and couldn't get rid of it. Finally sold it about a month ago. It freakin rocked. Didn't have that recto feel but it sounded pretty damn close.

OK, So I will be the one asshole who asks, why not use a Boogie when its the obvious choice??

Yup. Mesa Boogie Triple Rectifiier. Done.

Diamond amps Spitfire II. Clean channel, distorted channel, and extra distorted channel. Half power switch, FX loop, and great sound in general.

I was just curious on other ideas...before I make the plunge... I was even thinkin g of the mini rectifier....

I may try the Wampler first to see how convincing...Also the Wampler would be god for fly gigs....
