That was a pretty cool list. Of course any "Best yadda yadda of all time" list is just someone's opinion but I really liked the format they used and a video of each.

To the author's credit, the poll was about bad ass guitarists, not about the best virtuosos. Practically all the players listed are badassess who have lived through hard times and been innovators, from down and dirty blusemen, to living corpse Keith Richards to the I don't give a shit attitude punkers like Johnny Ramone. Then they list "Zakky Vengeance" in the same breadth 
Even better is when they list each players "coolest riff."
Hetfield is credited with Leper Messiah (its a Mustaine song, uncredited on the album) and the iconic Enter Sandman (Hammett's riff).
Jimmy Page is credited with Black Dog and that is a Jon Paul Jones riff.
I'm sure there's more errors but you'd think a publication named Guitar World would know these facts.

WTF was that??? Dayum... I thought I was reading a Rolling Stone list or something. Had never even heard of about 1/3 of those players (and I've been around the guitar world a LONG time).
So you've got 1/3 blues legends. And 1/3 punk/alternative/whatever names that will NEVER be known as guitar gods. And then sprinkle in a few obvious choices like Hendrix, EVH, Blackmore and Page.
Yeah... Yngwie, Uli Roth, Gary Moore, Sykes, Norum, Zack Wylde, Randy Rhoads, Angus Young, Nuno, Jeff Beck, Holdsworth, DeMiola, Vai, Satch, George Lynch, Akira Takasaki, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc aren't the most "badass". Bunch of "wimpy", no-name hacks...
