Just wanted to update this thread for anyone that will be looking at these pups in the future.. personally, I like them, but I don't love them. After putting a solid day on them, I find the treb a little harsh in the high end and I would like more drive. I consider myself to be an 80's guy so boosted JCM800 and with just a bit of OD, I have to fight a lot harder than I want. Great for detailed crunchy rythms though. The trade off comes at the expense of the higher registrars on the fretboard. If you have a nice heavy mahogany guitar , i think these will be excellent. For my brighter michael Kelly though, I need more beef and a tad more gain. I think my air zone will replace it next string change. I do like the neck pup though. Nice and squishy with detail. That one will probably stay.

So I rate these a B-/B+. If you like vintage output pups, these are prob right up your alley. I am more the "medium" gain range on Dimarzio's site apparently!

So when you guys say you put a set in a guitar, two times the standard version, or one standard and one Bridge, for the Bridge?

I put the 36th ani bridge version in the neck of my LP for a little hotter output. I have a ToneZone in the bridge and it is well balanced between the two. I like it...

That is one of the nicest looking les Paul's I have ever seen. I like how authentic the top looks, it's not overly flamed or quilted like some ri's or prs's are and can look gaudy, it's just right.
