wheres all of that 5150 hatred now

they have alot of potential as i have always said, excellent job on this 5150 Dave - simply jaw dropping

It sounds great!! Mine NEVER sounded like that. What pickups are in your LP? Great video.

Dave I gotta admit I'm surprised at how opem that sounds compared to what I typically hear from 5150 clips. I used to own a 5150 II but sold it as soon as I tried Engls. I'm thinking yours suonds way better than mine did.

Sounds great, nothing is masked with gain or sizzle. Very organic and uncolored. I'd hate it, nothing to hide the mistakes!  Seriously sounds great!

Love it Dave!!
Your videos always sound kick ass my Friend!!

sounds great man  ... whatever tinkering you did to it, definately worked out for the best

AWSOME !!

Dont see me getting rid of mine anytime soon.

Dave, how are you slaving that thing?

(does slaving mean you use the power section from another amp? - or have i got tit wrong. never get my head around that concept!)

Thanks. It all 5150. You can see the CCV in the back ground and the power ligt is off ;)

Thanks to everyone else for watching as well
  That thing sounds really really fucking good   sounds like it really fills up the room!!!!!

Sounds great Dave. I would love to hear this and most of your clips with just a single 4x12 getting pushed. Reason for this is because I would love to hear more of the core tone and how it would sound if I were playing said amp in my home setup :D Seriously, I think that would sound just as good/huge.

Cheers

Sounds great Dave, monster bang for the buck amp after those tweaks.

Regarding slaving, i am simply taking a line level from the output and adding effects and using another power amp to bring the signal back up.

why do you have to "bring the signal back up" sorry, never understood slaving to well :scared:

nice.yeah these 5150's are killer even "stock" right outta the box, imo.a great brutal metal amp!

You must have some really nice, well broken in speakers. All your clips sound great.

How do you record your stuff?

Pictue the 5150 as a preamp for the HH :)
That`s really all there is to it. Yes, it also powers the dry cabs, but the output line signal is the equivalent of a preamp signal :)
