Just wanted to see what you guys think of running a 5150 into a 1x12 cab with a Greenback speaker? If I would keep the volume pretty low, maybe around 1 or 2 on the post gain, would the speaker be able to handle that? I like how the 5150 sounds with Greenbacks, but I've only tried a 4x12 so I just wanted to see if running a 1x12 would be alright or not.

I think a 5150 into a 1x12 Greenback would be skating on very thin ice.
Even a single V-30 is iffy , IMO. I once toasted a GB , in a 4x12, with a cranked, boosted Marshall 50 watt 2204 head.

I once heard, and played for a few minutes- an Uber. into a 1x12 EV, and it was awesome.

I dunno, if you are talking only using at TV/bedroom volume, I dont' think you're going to blow the speaker. Just 'cuz the amp is 120 watts... doesn't mean it's putting 120 watts out to the speaker at all times.

But, if it were me, I'd try to get one of those Mesa Thiele (sp?) cabs with an EV or something with a little higher power rating...

Man Mark it will be boss regardless. Bc its a fitty one fitty

Just keep the volume real low and you should be able to get away with it.
