I am thinkin of buying one of these 50 watters for a real goood price and wanted to ask how do these sound at low bedroom practice levels?
I know my 100 watters sound terrible until you turn them up a bit and then it is too loud
for what i need.
Think of the volume of a TV on or maybe a touch louder?
got a wife and infant to think of :D

In my opinion the best for low volume playing
Great and is $725 shipped a good deal for one in mint condition with the footswitch, factory warranty?
I dont see any others used around at the moment to compare

I think they are fantastic for low volume stuff at home as well as playing out at much higher levels. I use the EVH 2x12 cab, so that may also help as well.

That seems like a good price.

That price isn't bad, but if you're willing to work the phone with Sweetwater or Musician's Friend you should be able to get one new for $800 - $850 and then you have the option of returning it if you don't like it.

I did not have $800 to spend on just a head(plus i bought the 5153 mini about 45 mins ago)
i still need a cab for this,
thinking of going with a carvin 2x12 with V 30's for $299

They are $389 with V30s.

Make sure you get the signed over receipt or invoice or you won't have a valid warranty.

Cool, yeah after looking into about 25 threads on this amp i found info on why that is.
turns out the vietnam plant was not making the fast enough and still keeping the QC fender wanted so they brought production back to the plant where the 100 watters are made about a year ago.
dont know if that is a plus or not?
I would guess it is better being made in mexico than vietnam but who know's

Found this about the made in Vietnam vs Made in mexico
When compared to each other, the Made in Mexico ones are better and all reasons are listed in that thread.
The best part for me is that channel two is tighter with no popping noise on the newer MIM version plus they are built better overall:thumbsup:

I am betting you will like the amp. For the price, its really, REALLY hard to beat IMO.

Now i just have to decide which 12's to use with it?
V-30's or?
avatar offers a LOT of celestions in their cabs!

Really liking the already broken in "Hellatone" versions!

personally I think a greenback style speaker suits it better, but I have heard some great demo's with V30 as well. I'm about to get some creambacks for mine, although when I go to the shop I might just try it with some Vtype first. Also scumbacks are awesome with it. I have played mine trough an M75 and it was awesome (one for sale here viewtopic.php?f=6&t=167179). Apparently the creambacks are very similar to the scums (and they sound very close in the demos I have seen)
