Cool if you guys like it there is nothing wrong with that. Not really here to hate on it but I have just had way better sounding amps.

The 50 watt combo I played has way more gain then the 50 watt head. Pretty sure I was told the combo is the same as the Stealth

From evh support :

The combo has the 2nd channel that is close but not exactly the same
as the Stealth and the 3rd channel is different than all other models.

Ah so I need a stealth because I have played through the 50 watt combo mostly hmmm

Now I am looking at the stealth and the regular 100 watt suggestions??

Yeah but you find your way into every 5153 thread to do so.

Hey thanks for the input and its, cool i thought the MarkV was a thin sounding amp and called it an overpriced bedroom amp on a thread I made. If someone wanted my real input I would have said something like that on a MKv thread. I plan on comparing the 2 I love my Rec but I feel like the 5153 is bad ass but if it sounds bad in my "studio" it doesn't stay.

I had one of the first 100 5153's and I had footswitch issues with mine also, I find that the 50 watt model sounds better. I've never had issues with my 50 watt.

Love the He LL out of my 50 watt. Played about 7 or 8 shows with mine and always cut fine....plenty o compliments from sound engineers and people in the crowd. As always there is someone on the internets that hates what I love :)

I would get the 100 but I personally prefer the 50 in sound, feel, and weight! Saw one of the guitarists from Thy Art is Murder using the 50 and he crushed it. The other guitarist used an Uberschall :)

A good friend of mine has 3 of the 5153 50's. He used to manage a GC and has pretty much had or tried everything. So have I for that matter lol. We are completely different style of players and agree on how cool that amp always sounds. Whether it's live or at home the amp always sounds good to both of us lol. I have never had a bad day with mine. However they designed that thing they did it right gain wise :)

All of the 5153 versions are great and none should have any trouble in a band situation.

So I played the 6505plus to kinda get a reference and I still like the EVH 5153 better I doncan certainly see why people prefer the 5153. But then there's still complaints about quality and solder being to weak if i spend 2 grand and it,breaks I'll be a little peeved lol.

Tell you what,if any solder breaks, its an easy fix and I would be more than happy to fix it for you. Don't
listen to the BS from folks that hate on a certain piece of gear. There is way more praise and folks without problems with it.

I've also heard nothing but good things about EVH's customer service, and they have a 5 year warranty if you buy new.

If you like the Mesa....get the EVH Stealth. Its so bad ass......really.
I have not been blow away from 1 amp like this. Its a Monster. And thats putting it mildly. ;)

Thanks so much guys I mean the Rev F shouldn't be hard to sell right?

Probably not, but I'd highly recommend playing an EVH of some flavor before ditching your Rectifier. EVH is a great sounding amp (and I prefer it over the Rectifier), but if you're after the Rectifier sound, nothing else really does the trick.

Honestly its a toss up I have been using Mesa and rectifiers for years I had a MarkV for a little over a year but wasn't my thing too harsh I felt. I have played the 5153 50 watt combo with my main guitar if you are making that amp sound bad then you should stop playing lol.

I played a FJA modded Recto for years. It was a killer playing and sounding amp. The Stealth wipes the floor with it.
For what I like....the EVH edges out the Diezel. Maybe I am blinded by the gain....
But I am pretty sure for what I play the Stealth is IT! Had my drummer over and he heard it in person (He has great ears for tone) and he was wide eyed jaw dropping as well. :D
Such a power house.

Man, you better have your flame suit on if your going to make such bold statements about the EVH compared to the Diezel around these parts.
