If you like the Mesa....get the EVH Stealth. Its so bad ass......really.
I have not been blow away from 1 amp like this. Its a Monster. And thats putting it mildly.

How does it compares compare to the dual rectifiers have you ever had an,earlier revision dual? Also how does it compare to your diezels??

I played a FJA modded Recto for years. It was a killer playing and sounding amp. The Stealth wipes the floor with it.
For what I like....the EVH edges out the Diezel. Maybe I am blinded by the gain....
But I am pretty sure for what I play the Stealth is IT! Had my drummer over and he heard it in person (He has great ears for tone) and he was wide eyed jaw dropping as well.
Such a power house.

Man, you better have your flame suit on if your going to make such bold statements about the EVH compared to the Diezel around these parts.

My Drummer thought I was pulling his chain too.....until he heard it in person.
He totally agreed with me. Kept shaking his head when I was playing it doing a demo. I asked "What you dont like it?"
His answer was "Man that amp is insane"
Some guys wont dig it. But I sure do. Its just got this enormous huge sound. Never played the regular 5153. But this Stealth is just such a bad bitch. I am digging it in spades!

I have the 50 watter with the 2x12 cab love it. It has been on everyday for 4 plus hours since I got it in Jan. I cant dial in a bad tone, I am sure a tube swap makes it better but this is the 1st amp I have ever owned that I am content with OEM tubes. cant see myself selling it for a while.

Running these bad boys. Randall Lynch Box 4x12's. Emenince Super V speakers. Super deep tone.
The Stealth just slams these cabs. Killing small animals if they walk in front of the speakers.

Little update I spent some time with a used one and holy crap this amp kicks ass but I haven't tried a stealth debating getting one from gc and trying it out

Thats promising because the tone is great how is it loud and unmicd with a drummer you know cheap rehearsal situation?

If you're talking the 50 watt version,it is more than loud enough.I use it in my thrash/punk band with a second guitarist and loud rhythm section and I never have a problem cutting through.

I'm talking 100 watter and I am used to the flooding sound of dual rectifiers so thats what i'd be comparing it to.

If you like your duel rec you won't like the EVH at all . Mesa has twice the low end and more sizzle. The mesa boosted is brootal and keeps it low end thump. The 5153 is super thin sounding to me and every person that I have talked to about it that has owned some amps with thump. Mesa,diezel,framus to name a few. Go try one next to your mesa and see for your self if you like it.

way off.. imo ....the thing can thump... you have the wrong cab.. mesa low end is flub ,the 5153 is tight...in a mix its a no brainer

On the 5153......I like the Stealth, the 50 watt and then then the 100 watt in that order. I have the EVH 4x12 and 2x12. You just cant miss. The blue channel on the 50 watt has more gain than the 100 watter. The Stealth blue channel is similar to the 50 watt and has resonance controls for all three channels.

You cant go wrong. I like the Stealth.

See I really liked the hundred watt but I need to try the stealth ugh anyone willing to let me. Lol I'm,serious i'll pay money to try one.
