$600 Charvel San Dimas"Slime green", i think i got scammed??

God damn, this was to good to be true, or is it?

For the first time in my life i bought it on the spot and now i can`t get any contact with these guys.

I might do a Paypal claim soon if i don`t hear from them.

After all the Charvel talk, i had to get me one. When i saw that price, i went for it. Might be a big mistake...

Honestly that price isn't that much out of line, I know when they were getting rid of the tele style bodies they were selling them for $600 new so if the company is really trying to unload that color or something it's a possibility.

That is $500 lower than retail, I have not seen anything close to that unless used and abused. The Tele style was a factory blow-out price due to them not moving.

There is no way that one store could have 98 of those guitars in stock unless that is a site that works like a network like amazon.com. and they are selling it lower then dealer cost
There were only a specific amount of those guitars made and they were distributed to specific dealers throughout the country and each dealer could only get a few pieces. I dont know but something sound fishy. Maybe Chubtone(Curt) could chime in because he is one of the dealers who carries those.

I sure hope so man, i started investigating a bit and there contact info is contact@prestashop, wich is a web based shopping cart software . Anybody can built a shopping cart and use it....

They also have a nice Ibanez JS, bought it`s a black dog, the black one with the silver marker drawings on it $4000. It states they have 5, yeah right, i`ve seen that guitar go for $10000 a couple years back, very limited.

Yeah i`ve seen that, when it was at 99, then i bought one and it went to 98. I also thought about the distribution thing, or that they had a bunch of different Charvels and by the clicking on the cart, stating that it`s that particular color,and knowing if it`s in stock or not but it never happened....

I~m screwed.

That's a bummer I thought they were only $999, but since they are more than that, it does seem pretty extreme... and yea it was a factory blow out, but I was trying to be some what optimistic for him... lol, I think Chubtone is the best guy to ask about this stuff since he is a dealer.

I've got to make sure to avoid this place like the plague in the future, how is it still up if it's such a big scam???

A couple things would have sent me running from that site. First the .cc is a domain you can pretty much register for free, I've done it already. Any site I consider buying anything from better have some information in on their contact page, if not I wouldn't even consider going any further. Hope it turns out ok for you.

I was in a hurry and when i saw the price, i went for it. But when i got back i started looking around the site and i noticed all mentioned so far and that`s when i figured i got scammed.

I just opened a dispute with Paypal so we`ll see where it goes.

If you used PayPal that will assist in this, however usually reputable sellers use HTTPS for transactions. The secure certificate has to be purchased by a valid company and it gives you extra security, they do not have one and that adds to the suspicion for me.

This doesn't sound right to me. To be totally honest, I'll take all 98 of the remaining guitars at $600 because that is a large chunk less than wholesale on them. Hopefully Paypal will be able to get you your money back. I can't guarantee that you won't get a guitar, but i have no idea how anyone could or would sell them for that amount. Also it is pretty much impossible that this place has 99 of them. Charvel only makes between 150-200 of each particular model and the slime green sold pretty well and last time I spoke to Charvel their stock on these was low.

If you get your money back send me a PM and we can discuss a fair, reasonable, but realistic price on one of these.
