$600 Charvel San Dimas"Slime green", i think i got scammed??

As a rule of thumb, I never buy from an online retailer that is unwilling to post contact information on their site.

This doesn't sound right to me. To be totally honest, I'll take all 98 of the remaining guitars at $600 because that is a large chunk less than wholesale on them. Hopefully Paypal will be able to get you your money back. I can't guarantee that you won't get a guitar, but i have no idea how anyone could or would sell them for that amount. Also it is pretty much impossible that this place has 99 of them. Charvel only makes between 150-200 of each particular model and the slime green sold pretty well and last time I spoke to Charvel their stock on these was low.

If you get your money back send me a PM and we can discuss a fair, reasonable, but realistic price on one of these.

Exactly my thoughts, they said up till the 10th of February to resolve, if not, Paypal will act.

I will check with you on one of these, i really want a green one.

Don't get mad that you can't have a Charvel up there in Canada. These will melt all your glaciers immediately and have been denied for import. Plus these are programmed to self-destruct at the first hint of the opening riff to "Turn Me Loose" being played on them and we all know that is the first riff you play when you check out new guitars. I think you should Photoshop a Loverboy shirt on to the guy fishing.

Sounds fishy to me - back when I worked in the music store biz typical dealer cost was 40% off list. If you bought large quantities (the dealer I worked for often bought truckloads) or there were special deals you might get 40%+10% and rarely 50% off (usually junk guitars). At the time most dealers would discount 25% - 30% off list which didn't leave a ton of profit for the sales rep and dealer, especially if you added in all freight charges. This is the reason that companies create demand by limiting quantities. I would guess that things are roughly the same now and that would mean that the price was well below dealer cost.

This is still true in some cases but these Charvels are different. These are kind of a pricing experiment in that there is no Manufacturers Suggested Retail Price on these. There is only the Minimum Advertised Price of $1099. If these had an MSRP based on other products from Jackson and Charvel and Fender these guitars would have an MSRP of about $1449. Then after the discount you should be able to buy them on the street for $999-1099.

It's just goofy what they are doing with the price of these and confusing.

I actually saw a few of the new Charvels at a local store up here.
The necks played nice, they were being blown out for cheap. Wrong pickup config for me on all of them, or I may have bit.
