65amps Empire, more gain (clip)

More gain with 65amp Empire...LOUD, its like old Marshall, even its a cathode biased its quite *tight*. 22watts is plenty with this amp...

I'm at work now and can't listen to the clip, but I have been interested in this amp for a while. What are your overall thoughts on the amp? From all I've read and heard it should be a keeper.

It´s a killer amp, it covers all old Marshall tones, even its a cathode biased vs fixed bias, those 6V6 really sounds like EL34 (IMO)
There is no *master*, there is Master Voltage what lowering power tube voltages, Im not sure is it lower preamp voltages too, anyway it works very good...

I compared twice with Emplexador, and both times I prefer Empire...

Interesting. The Emplexador, Empire, and the CA Triptik are in my sites right now. Thanks for narrowing it down to two, might pull the trigger on the CA next week.
