Larry Dino Amp Demo

the german pronunciation (Larries/Helmuts origin) for short for dinosaur is "deeno" so saying "deeno" and dino are both correct, just depends if you want to say in german or english.

the amp seems to have really thick and packed mids, but very tight and clear at the same time. That's definitely something i can admire!

Tried to do a full mix, some iso stereo guitars, then just noodling around. Guitars are sm57 into my interface. If you’d like the non YouTube version (loud version) of the song (portion of a song) I can post that here, as I mastered two versions since they limit the audio.

The amp is incredible. So much gain, but clear and tight.

As said in the video this started its life as a jtm in the late 60s early 70. It was rebuilt by Larry in the 90s. It has the old Marshall transformers from that era that are incredible.

I saw it on reverb, snagged it, sent it straight to Larry, and Larry updated it to the latest specs he could (as the Dino has changed over time, and not able to do the latest revision on this). Larry did a great job cleaning everything up and getting this to sounding up to its full potential!

As usual, best listening will be in a car stereo or on monitors.

When you play with isolated guitar, it is clear how special this amp is. Sounds fucking massive, bud.

Really nice to see a Larry demo thread not turn into people slinging monkey poo at each other within 10 seconds. Perhaps it is yet to come, being the thread is only a little over 12 hours old. Perhaps the big guy will even make an appearance himself:sneaky:

This one shows the amp well. Love the fact that Brandon demonstrates both in the mix and iso, which shows how different they can be to the ears. And impeccable slaying as always!
 
Excellent demonstration as always! To be honest I still prefer your other clips featuring the Wizard and the GZ modded Tremo! Maybe too Diezelish for my liking? How do you like it compared to the other beasts you have?

I really love the amp, pretty much one of the only amps I can just plug straight in to and be happy. No boosts, nothing.

Even the eq on that full mix and the iso guitars there was really nothing done there at all on the guitars. I think that’s what makes this one special is it’s just mic to cab and go.
