Ok... so I've wiped my hard drive since the last time I ordered tubes... I don't want to use tubestore.com ... so who should I order from?

Laura at valvequeen would be my first stop to support local rig-talk members. she does burn ins and measures them as well, she's good people

second would be tubesandmore.com for powers, but i think someone mentioned before they are canadian? i have no clue, but my last experience with them was excellent, super fast shipping, well packed, and great prices.

I agree, Laura is very good, she is who I bought the tubes from in the first place. If you decide that you want Winged C's but don't want to deal with the price of new Winged C's, I can ship you the matched quad I have in storage now. Only bought them a few months ago... Let me know.

IIRC, The GT6L6-CHPs were really smooth sounding in my Alchemist. I put in the SED 6L6GCs after them and noticed the difference. They were both biased the same and the CHPs has the flat response while the SEDs were more 3D.

I liked them both.
