I picked this cab up several years ago with the intention of fixing her up.

I finally got around to it.

Thanks to Jim at Scumback speakers for the great deal on the M-75LDs.

I have been wanting these speakers for a long time and the sale sealed the deal !

Also want to thank Art for helping out with the cheesehead screws !

I stripped it to bare wood and put 3 coats of tru oil on it. I also fabbed a Baltic birch back for her, the original was MDF.
I also added Brass hardware throughout.

I am real pleased with the way it turned out and it sounds amazing !

Looks really nice. I love the natural wood/basketweave combo.

Love it! Really nice job. I'd love to have one like this.

Thanks, Yes I love the big check grill cloth !

That is just awesome looking! Well done.

I too dig the basket weave cloth. I LOVE seeing the tiny finger jointing at the corners...so, so, sexy.

Thanks Man, I agree The finger joints look really cool.

That really does look great in natural. I'll bet it sounds even better

Looks great. Not sure if I prefer with or without the grill cloth though.

Thanks, I know what you mean. I does look cool with out the grill cloth.

I did consider leaving it that way but I think the grill cloth will protect my new speakers better !

-does any remember back in the day when people were ripping the tolex off there cabs for better "tone"........ about the same time as those little fans cut into the amp's shell-

Nice work on the resto of the cab! Glad I could be a part of it!

awesome love it, I have a '76 that is far and away the best cab ive had in 4x12 form... enjoy it and dont baby it!

the orig. back should have been press board? some say has a effect on sound...idk...wouldnt look as cool..

Yes, an mdf back is definitely odd. I have a '73 with a birch back.
