So I have had a couple conversations with Mike over the last 2 days and have decided to send my beloved '77 JMP 2203 to him for a mod.

I never ever thought I would have that amp modded but after hearing the various clips out there decided it was the way to go. Also, after talking with Mike, I knew that he was the right guy to send it to which relieved any apprehension I had. Here is what I am getting:

- Fortin high gain preamp

- Footswitchable FX loop (series or parallel with send and return levels)

- Footswitchable dual gain controls

- Footswitchable dual master levels

- Switched functions on TRS jacks to be switched with my GCX Loop Switcher

This amp already rocks with a boost so I know that the mod is gonna be killer. Plus, with the 6550 output section, it should kill anything in a 10 mile radius! :D

Your amp will be in GREAT hands!!! I can't wait to hear what you think when you get it back!!!

Mike owns!!

Congrats bro, just from email conversations I have concluded that he will deliver whatever you are looking for

I am wondering about Metro's new 100 watt master volume kit amps and what mike could change during the build process

i never thought i'd ever go back to experiementing with mods on Marshalls, but I may take one of my jmp heads and have a discussion with Mike as well. I really liked what i heard from Mr. Dan's clip...It would need to clean up nicely ( i like playing clean alot) when rolling off on the guitar volume.

I don't even have my plexi back from Mike yet and I already want to send him another Marshall because of all these damn posts! :D

I'll let you know since that is pretty much what mine is (a 50W plexi reissue that was gutted by George Metropoulos)

Right on. I have a 50 Watt Metro Plexi so it will be interesting to hear what you think of yours. Might make me send mine, too!

Hey Ant!

Im glad you dug my clip of my amp man! The mod that i did on my amp can clean up good, especially with low output pickups like you use!

I actually have an additional feature which im going to offer with my mod, which allows you to switch between two types of feel. One is tighter and more like a stock Marshall but with way more gain, and the other side of the switch gives you a little more compression and more of a typical modded Marshall feel :)

Definitely get intouch with Mike, as he could mod one of your JMP's to sound how you want! :)
