I'm an 8-string guy too, so had to hear it! Sounds great. I mostly use a 2204 and an SD-1.

I had a 1978 JMP 2204 that I boosted with a SD-1 as well.
I used that setup for a few years in a cover band I played in.
I wish I didn't sell that amp, she was a beauty.
